Merchandise Buying Assistant

Supporting the Buyer with Range selection, Supplier Management, Price Management, Analysis, Samples, Packaging, Communication.

Replenishing the UK warehouse from suppliers in China , Europe and the UK.

Liaising with the Buyer and the suppliers to optimise the flow of goods in line with sales potential.

Analysing historic sales ,forecasting to take account of underlying demand, trend, seasonality, product lifecycle, store base, and changes to competing lines in the range.

Filling containers taking account of accurate CBMs, calculating freight, duty and exchange rate costs.

Producing margin reports. Phasing containers. Placing orders with factories via e mail, inputting orders on to our system, checking and maintaining product file accuracy in every detail.

Monitoring in-bound orders weekly to speed up or slow down shipping and deliveries in line with stock cover priority, and space constraints.

Covering for the Buyer when absent.

Who we're looking for
Experience of replenishment,demand planningand importing gained within a Buying and Merchandising environment foreither a retail or importer business
