As a result of our client's expansion and continued growth in the EMEA region and the increased complexity of transaction structures, we have an opportunity for a tax specialist to join their credit team in London.
The successful candidate will bring structured transaction and tax experience and will help to structure new business initiatives and provide innovative financing/hedging solutions allowing you to contribute significantly to all of our client's businesses.
The role will involve:
• Assisting with transactions early in the deal process, identifying key issues and developing the credit response with a tax focus from start to finish
• Present complex structures and make recommendations to senior risk management staff, in a concise and clear manner
• Attend vendor presentations and due diligence meetings
• Annual review of the existing transactions
• Ensure that appropriate guidelines, procedures and approvals are in place for new products or limits, through proactive liaison with appropriate business unit and other relevant areas
• Coordinate internal reporting
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
• Tax experience and appropriate qualifications, gained in a banking, legal, accounting or consulting role
• You will have exposure to transactions and tax due diligence.
• You will possess strong commercial orientation and be a lateral thinker with proven ability to undertake comprehensive industry research and analysis
• Client focused with persuasive communication skills both written and verbal and a confidence in being challenged
• A collegial team member who builds strong, open dialogue based relationships with clients and colleagues
• You will be self-directed in an unpredictable environment.
• Proficiency in utilising trading and loan documentation
• European languages are highly desirable
