National Transport Manager

This is an exciting role working on a high profile retail distribution contract for a major 3PL. You will take responsibility for all outbound Transport operations and store delivery across a wide geographical area, continually challenging Transport KPI's to drive continuous improvement. Motivating and providing leadership to your team of drivers and Transport Shift Managers will be another critical aspect of this position as you strive for service excellence.
Aside from the operational management aspect of this position, the role will also play a key role in the overall Account Management of the customer and there will be a significant amount of customer interface within this position.
The role will also have responsibility for working with other parts of the retail network to identify areas for cost saving and continuous improvement.

Who we're looking for
You will be an exceptional Transport Manager with highly developed knowledge and understanding of the latest trends and strategies available for efficient Transport management. In addition to being an excellent operator ,the successful candidate for this role will have the ability to interface with the customer with strong account management skills. You should also be able to employ a strong strategic perspective on Transport Management that will enable you to identify areas for cost savings across the network.
