The regional sales manager position for Institutional Investor is a media sales role for two world renowned financial monthly publications. This position is a mix of account management and new business selling media space and sponsorship opportunities in the Americas and International editions of Institutional Investor magazine as well as a sister hedge fund publication, Alpha. The clients are a mix of investment banks, fund management companies, corporates and government agencies in Europe. The position is based in the company's London office but requires frequent travel to see clients and attend conferences.
The magazines are the largest international finance and hedge fund magazines respectively with BPA audited controlled circulation.
Who we're looking for
• The ideal candidate will have a background in financial media sales.
• Languages would be an advantage, specifically French and/or German.
• You will be a high performer with a proven track record of success with the ability to grow accounts and territories significantly.
• You will be a very polished presenter and comfortable interacting with senior executives.
• A good knowledge of the financial markets would be important with the ability to hold a conversation on many financial subjects including different kinds of securities and instruments.
• A tenacious, optimistic and indefatigable attitude are a must, combined with an ability to listen to the needs of clients and the markets creating new ideas for sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
