The Senior Buyer will manage the day to day function of a purchasing department comprising 6 Buyers and 2 administrators. The purchasing department sources finished products from the far east to support the locally manufactured product range. You will take responsibility for overseeing the technical function of the buyers whilst ensuring sufficient finished product is sourced and delivered in time with the manufactured product to ensure timely distribution to third party outlets.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be CIPS qualified or working towards and have a proven track record in a manufacturing environment and exposure to low cost countries sourcing. Excellent planning, procurement and personnel management skills are essential as your will be required to manage your team to procure finished goods in line with production schedules.
