Listed Derivative Control Operations Specialist

The team is currently managed by someone who is shortly rotating into a new role. A position has arisen for a Senior Operations specialist to replace the current AVP who will replace the outgoing VP.

The LD Control team performs the control and oversight role for all Listed Derivative products. As such the team are tasked with ensuring that the business is correctly following the appropriate reporting requirements as laid down by both external and internal bodies. The team are responsible for ensuring that controls are in place for all areas covered by Listed Derivatives Operations.
The company has successfully built up the volumes over recent years and this continues to add onto the number of manual process which the team have to complete. As the business continues to develop new products and become members of new/combined exchanges (either directly or indirectly), this results in additional reporting requirements both locally in London and overseas such as America. A larger amount of the team's time is spent on testing new systems and reporting requirements, and this is expected to increase in line with the business growth.

Main duties and responsibilities:
* Manage and understand the day to day control process.
* Ensure all external regulatory reporting is performed accurately and within specified timeframe.
* Manage and understand the GL posting for all entities within LDO on a day to day and monthly basis.
* Ensure all procedures are documented to a high standard and are kept relevant.
* Ensure all Sox actions are appropriate and reported accurately within time set.

Who we're looking for
* Graduate or equivalent experience.
* Strong experience in a financial/ management accounting function.
* Good commercial awareness.
* Experience preferably in Investment Banking.
* Control Focused.
* Strong Computer literacy including Excel and Access.
* Excellent Interpersonal and Presentation Skills.
*Experience of GMI
