This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most exciting, innovative and progressive emerging hotel groups having been winner at the Business Travel Awards the last 3 years in succession.
As Group Finance Manager you will report directly to the Finance Director. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and growth of the Company through accurate financial modelling and analysis, along with managing development project expenditure ensuring costs are controlled and effective liaison with Cost Consultants.
Other key responsibilities will include managing the relationship with our banking partner and syndicate banks ensuring the provision of quality data and robust analysis, as well as sound corporate finance recommendations to ensure funding, hedging, loans and structures are in place to meet the business growth requirements. Working with your team responsible for ongoing review of company cash flow, balance sheet and consolidated group management accounts ensuring effective reporting, forecasting and analysis to the Board and Executive. You will also be responsible for the annual budgetary process from a group perspective as well as review of capital expenditure against forecast and budget.
Who we're looking for
You will be a qualified accountant (ideally ACA) with experience in either the retail, leisure or the hospitality sector desirable and the following skill set:
• A sound understanding of accountancy principles and practices within a corporate finance framework
• Strong financial modelling and IT skills in Microsoft packages (especially Excel)
• Previous experience of Oracle or Sun accounting systems would be an advantage
• Preferably new development project experience
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to impact performance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both internally and externally at all levels
• A proven track record in effectively managing and developing a team on a daily and project basis
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to focus on results
• A flexible, proactive approach to work with high degree of self motivation
