Reporting into the Head of Sourcing you will be required to undertake rigorous business/commercial analysis across a diverse range of commercial strategy, business planning and contracting activities within a team structure and to present conclusions in an appropriate format.You willwork with senior management providing informed and fact-based assessments of proposals, including the financial review of option and risks analyses, through an understanding of the dynamics the commercial environments in whichour client operates and their relationships with the regulated railway. You will alsodevelop specifications and apply analytical models to support fact-based decision making and propose initiatives to improve the manner in which commercial analysis within the Strategic Sourcing department or the wider Contracts & Procurement is completed.
Who we're looking for
Essential
• Exceptional and proven analytical skillsin a commercial environment
• Degree trained or equivalent business acumen
• Outstanding relationship and communication skills
• Proven track record of working off own initiative
•Advanced level of Microsoft Office systems, particularly Excel & PowerPoint
Desirable
• Rail Industry exposure
•From a large national/multinational business group
• Large utility and/or engineeringbackground
• Strong presentation skills
• Microsoft Project
