4 month contract for Project Manager to support strategic development and commissioning in public healthcare sector based in SE London. For this role we require an experienced project manager to support the project development and management of its programme for world class commissioning assurance, and the development of the health project strategy plan. The process takes place within a context of:-
• 'A Picture of Health' project which will rationalise acute care across existing providers
• 'Strengthening Commissioning' which anticipates a high level of coordination in commissioning
Key tasks will include:-
• Development of the project plan and provision of ongoing support and coordination to ensure that the project delivers agreed work programmes to timetable
• Reporting on project progress to Commissioning Project Board
• Support to the Director in the identification of the project key outcome measures
• Identification of key partners to be involved in the 360 degree assessment and liaison with them to ensure full understanding of project.
• Support the Director of Commissioning in coordinating the completion of the competency assessment process, and identifying measures for short term improvement arising from the process
• Support the Associate Director of Organisational Development in the coordination of the Strategic Plan and Organisational Development Plan
• Support the Executive Directors in the development and publication of key submission documents
Who we're looking for
You will have at least a degree level of education for this contract along with the following:-
• Project planning and management skills
• Ability to think and plan strategically
• Well developed interpersonal and influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to develop clear and concise documents
• Ability to respond positively to working in an environment of change
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work proactively and act on own initiative
• Can interact well with staff at all levels in organisations
Essential expertise:-
• Wide project management experience ideally including PRINCE 2 or equivalent
• Experience in commissioning and or service planning and development
• Experience in the provision and use of information
• Experience of working across sectors and professional disciplines
• Experience of partnership working
