Job Role
- Direct reporting line to the CFO of the holding in the United states
- Primary responsibility for coordinating and maintaining the accounting function for the holding portfolio of commercial properties managed by the German GmbH
- Develop and implement effective systems that result in complete, accurate and timely financial reporting
- Responsible for all external and internal reporting for the properties under management, as well as preparing for and coordinating independent audits and other externally prepared financial statements
- Develop and institute the policies and procedures essential to establish appropriate internal controls needed to capture all revenue, eliminate waste and preclude fraud
Who we're looking for
- Ideally to have experience with German and US commercial real estate accounting and financial management. Experience with both German and US accounting methods and systems required
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in accounting, CPA beneficial
- Must have proven managerial and supervisory skills; must be self-motivated and possess insight necessary to understand, develop and motivate others
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial practices and procedures
- Must be fluent with accounting and financial software and have strong computer skills
- Must be Fluent in English and German, written and spoken. Intelligent and results-oriented; able to understand reporting requirements and financial strategy, and get things done
- Excellent social, interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Emotional control required to maintain consistent composure during periods of varying stress levels
