Engineering Manager

The successful candidate will lead the provision of a high quality technical service to both clients and internal customers enabling contracts to be progressed to meet cost, quality and timescale deadlines.

Key accountabilities will include:
• Management of projects from estimation through to fabrication and manufacture
• Liaison with clients through all modes of communication
• Manage and motivate department staff enabling projects to meet specific targets
Key challenges include:
• Developing a leadership culture for the Project Engineering Dept
• Facilitating the diversification into new growth markets and bringing excellent project management skills to support this
• Building on relationships with key areas in the business to enable efficient management of the planning and delivery of projects

Who we're looking for
The successful Engineering Manager will have an in-depth understanding and high capability of Project Management Techniques within a technical engineering/manufacturing environment. The suitable candidate will acknowledge the importance this role plays in driving new projects forward and expanding the current customer base. As an experienced Manager you will have evidence of effective leadership and team development and be able to work effectively under time constraints and to manage conflicting priorities.

Our client is a profitable and expanding specialist engineering & manufacturing organisation with an annual turnover of £20m and a three year projection to double this. The company is continuing to expand its current customer base in buoyant markets including nuclear, oil and gas as well as the renewable energy sector.

What's on offer
£38,000 - £42,000, plus bonus and pension
