Regional Facilities Manager required in Staines to manage the Southern Property Portfolio of the UK's leading healthcare organisation
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team within the Bupa Group Property and Facilities Management (FM) function.
Bupa have taken an exciting and fresh approach to the provision of property and facilities services, by putting an emphasis on educating the client/end user as to the exact role of the FM department, by using an intelligent client team (ICT). Part of your role will be to provide direction to the ICT, and steer the interface between the provision of facilities services and the business itself.
The Southern facilities team is in situ, and you will be entering an existing structure where you will be responsible for the ongoing improvement, development and strategic management of the FM function across the Staines andLondonsites.
Key responsibilities include:
• Strategic management of the regional property portfolio ensuring both current and future accommodation requirements are met whilst ensuring value for money for Bupa and fully satisfying stakeholders' expectations.
• Overall responsibility for all FM functions to maintain optimum accommodation, environmental and support service standards for the Southern region, within corporate FM guidelines and budgetary constraints.
• Provide strategic management input into the development of FM nationally and to support the Head of Property and Facilities in both the planning and implementation of key policies and processes as described in the teams mission statement.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for a Facilities Management professional from an engineering background, who has a strong track record of service delivery across a broad spectrum of property. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills and be able to influence across all levels.
It is vital that you possess a proactive and ambitious approach to the provision of services to the organisation, coupled with the ability to deliver a first class service to the end user.
Professional Qualifications and Experience:
• Formal qualification in building services, FM or an engineering discipline to degree level or equivalent.
• Full BIFM Membership.
• Experience of developing and implementing FM strategy, and the ability to contribute to the development of property strategy to current and future demands.
• Experience of procuring and strategic management of FM service contracts based upon FM best practice principles including risk transfer, use of output specifications and key performance indicators.
• Knowledge of the concept of the 'Intelligent or Informed Client Function', and the ability to manage customer relationships with senior level management.
• Experience of strategic management of FM capital and revenue budgets, with excellent financial management and analysis skills.
