The role will be to effectively manage stock levels in order to maximise customer service levels while minimising cost and working capital, communicating information throughout the supply chain.
1. Maintain Materials Planning Data. Identify and Raise Materials Needs
2. Identify any potential problems before they arise. Expedite accordingly and escalate as required.
3.Define safety stock.
4.Reduce stockholding/Lead times.
5. Identifying and executing improvement opportunities in the service levels or stock holding or a balance of the two.
6. Managing the run out of stocks on products that are being made obsolete with the product manager and supplier to ensure no liabilities.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be:
• An enthusiastic professional with experience in a similar role
• Fully competent in excel and preferably with a good working knowledge of the AS400 system
• An accomplished communicator and influencer
• Adaptable and flexible with a proactive approach
• Committed to personal development and willing to study for formal qualifications where appropriate.
