An exciting opportunity for a temporary to permanent Regional HR Advisor has arisen with this leading public sector organisation based in West Yorkshire. The main purpose of this role is to provide professional advice to all HR Managers and staff across the organisation. Some support to the managing director will also be required.
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
• To be the key point of daily contact for all managers and employees for advice and guidance on employment issues, including HR policy, terms and conditions, performance and absence management.
• Provide help and guidance to managers with disciplinary and grievance issues, including investigation, letter writing, note taking and accompaniment at such hearings to give advice.
• Pro-actively improve usage of HR Information System
• Manage the Health and Safety function
• Manage the recruitment process including working with agencies, developing job descriptions and person specifications, advertisements, selection, and interviews.
• Oversee the smooth management of HR administration including contracts, salary administration and queries relating to company benefits.
Some travel will be required between the organisations Yorkshire and North East site as well as the organisations Head Office.
Who we're looking for
Our client is looking for a strong HR Generalist with experience in Employee Relations. You will also possess the following experience and competencies:
• CIPD qualified or working towards this qualification.
• At least 3 year's proven experience of working as a generalist HR professional
• Experience of developing HR policy and procedures
• Good understanding of employment legislation and implications for the work place.
• Good understanding of Data Protection law and principles.
• Experience of training and or facilitation skills would be a distinct advantage.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Working knowledge of HR information systems.
