The successful candidate will spend a large amount of time liaising with cost controllers within the business, providing support and guidance on cost matters, supporting with budgets and forecasts and other key cost activities.
Liaise with other departments & provide support with all Divisional Cost issues
Liaise and understand daily operational situation (uptime, RFT, recovery, overtime, etc.) & its impact on cost
Analyse impact of business changes on Divisional Cost and In-House Cost per unit
Attend relevant committee meetings
Ensure correct accounting treatment is applied to Divisional Cost transactions
Analysis at month end (actual vs. budget)
Management reporting (incl. Monthly TQM reporting)
Budgeting & Forecasting
Who we're looking for
• Relevant Accounting/Business qualification
• Experience of working with an Accounting department or cost function with a sound understanding of key accounting rules & concepts (accruals, prudence, depreciation, etc.)
• Excellent team player
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent computer skills (Excel & PowerPoint)
