BPP College of Professional Studies - the first private sector company to have been granted degree-awarding powers is seeking to appoint a number of Full Time and Part Time Accountancy Lecturers for its teaching led Business School in the areas of Accounting, Finance and Taxation.
The post holders will have the opportunity to use their experience and creativity to design and deliver modules which meet the needs of employers, students and other stakeholders.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):-
• Taking responsibility for the academic development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes or subject modules within programmes for. This encompasses all aspects from initial concept to determining and preparing individual session content and identifying and implementing appropriate learning, teaching and assessment strategies.
• Teaching either: Financial Reporting & Auditing, or Management Subjects from ACCA papers, or Taxation.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of business plans for the launching of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Working as part of a team to continually enhance the quality of the programmes offered and the student experience.
• Teaching on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.
• Undertaking academic administrative duties including course co-ordination and programme or subject module leadership.
• Working as part of a small but growing multi-disciplinary team to develop research interests in the study and development of the professions, or other interests compatible with the work of the Business School.
• Remaining current in your academic discipline and to ensure that teaching is informed by current research.
• Undertaking such training as may be required from time to time.
• Undertaking other duties connected with the development of the Business School as required.
Who we're looking for
Successful applicants must have practical experience, a strong academic background, be professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and hold a membership with a relevant professional body. Teaching experience is not essential as full training will be provided. You should be able to offer teaching in either the areas of Financial Reporting & Auditing, or Taxation or Management related accounting areas.

What's on offer
Salary from £50,000 plus attractive benefits package (pro rata for part time positions).
Normal Full Time hours are Mondays to Fridays creating a 37 ½ week, with the possibility of over time with weekends and evening work. Flexible working arrangements can be made with the agreement of the Dean of the Business School.
