Relationship Manager

To be responsible for a portfolio of problem lending cases, principally the more complex positions, ensuring that they are dealt with efficiently and effectively thus achieving an improvement in the lending situation, and/or an appropriate return on risk.
• Develop quality strategies to improve the Bank's lending position
• Retention of customer goodwill
• Ensure achievement of an appropriate risk return
• Evaluate, structure and negotiate investment opportunities in companies
• Contribute to achievement of key financial performance measures and budgets
• Enhance reputation of the Bank within the professional community

Who we're looking for
• Strong Relationship Management skills
• Knowledge and experience of lending situations
• Awareness of customer markets, needs and concerns
• Ability to motivate others & work as part of a team
• Identifying key components of a problem and formulating workable solutions
• Proven ability to apply a wide variety of negotiation tools and techniques
• Extensive knowledge of business issues
• Track record of creating innovative solutions to a variety of business related problems
• Management of a varied portfolio of distressed debt situations
• Mitigation of risk and avoidance of loss for the Bank wherever feasible
• Delivery of an appropriate reward for any risk being undertaken
• To develop and maintain a sound understanding of investment appraisal techniques
• Logical approach to decision-making.
• Works to high standards and produces quality output under pressure
• Team development through coaching and the provision of advice and support
• Strong presentation skills
• Good understanding of accounting and legal processes
• Network of professional contacts
