Reporting to the Head of Commercial finance,planning and analysis, key purpose of the role is to drive commercial & financial leadership in the Direct business and Managing key relationships across the Direct business in particular with the Direct Business Director and his direct reports.

• Main provider of key financial information for Direct Business Director and his team and being a key part of the Direct Management Team.
• Manage the expectations of the Direct Business Director on a regular basis as well as understand the Direct business and it's needs to ensure maximum value is created from that relationship.
• Liaison with Insurance Finance and Direct Distribution for
• Cost Reporting
• Income Reporting
• Business Cases/Investment Projects
• Budget/Forecast process
• Sales and Retention Management Information
• Co-ordinate and manage the preparation of accurate information for the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process in relation to;
• Sales
• Income
• Costs
• Marketing Spend
• Headcount
• Group Recharges
• Business Cases
• Work closely with Direct Team members to improve efficiency and effectiveness of all costs.
• Provide profitability analysis and education for the Direct business by constant support and continual sharing of knowledge and expertise to instil the forward thinking profit culture that the Insurance business is trying to embed.
• Support the Call Centre and Consultant and Team Manager Reward structure
• Act as a key member of the local Project Steering Committee to help prioritise the key projects/activities within Direct.
• Challenge marketing campaigns using management information ensuring best value is achieved for the business.
