Employee Relations Specialist

Permanent ⁄ £40000 - £45000

Activities include
- Disciplinary & Grievances:
- Managing disciplinary and grievance processes, including conducting investigations, hearings and appeals.
- Take accountability for processes and preparing for litigation
- Pre-employment Screening Resolution:
- Management of discrepancies in new joiner pre-employment screens;
- Liaising with employee, Legal, Compliance, ER and CRM's;
- Resolving issues: signing off completed screening or dismissal/disciplinary process management
- Updating ERS procedures and policy in conjunction with the Employee Relations Advisory team
- Co-facilitate the Grievance and Disciplinary Hearings training courses
- Advise and manage the operational aspects of employment-related issues
- Responsible for undertaking a number of operational and risk related activities within HR across all business areas

Who we're looking for
Degree educated
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of HR best practice and ER policy .
- Ability to think laterally
- Excellent communication skills,
- Good working knowledge of ER policies and well versed in HR best practice theory and application
- Strong consulting/influencing/client relationship skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of UK employment law
- Ensure the consistent and equitable application of policy.
- Effective resolution of queries to all clients..
- Business & Technical Expertise - having other specialised knowledge and applied skills. Specify:
- Knowledge of current Bank and HR specific software
- Project management skills
