As Project Manager you will be expected to work closely with the other business units on the London based estate, to build lasting relationships that will assist you in the successful completion of a wide variety of projects.
Key responsibilities are outlined below:
• To agree and ensure that appropriate budgets, approvals, professional design team appointments and that all other Project Manager and contract administration duties, project files, records, details, minutes, health and Safety measures etc are covered and documented.
• To ensure the London Estates projects are designed and constructed within an agreed programme in conjunction with client requirements and costs.
• To ensure clear communication systems are in place regarding project work with Education and Stake holders and that client sign off is achieved.
• Inform and instruct user groups on renovations, construction and/or occupancy of space.
• To successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
• To establish & maintain relationships with all business units and professional teams as necessary to ensure delivery of successful projects.
• To maintain and update Estate developments on CAD.
• To design feasibility schemes on CAD and communicate amongst the Project Team for feedback.
• Update all Estate CAD record site plans for different layers, utilising necessary outsourced support where applicable enabling each of the layers to be clearly identifiable and documented.
• To perform and review relevant contractors risk assessments.
• To induct new Contractors on site.
• To monitor the Health & Safety during the Construction process.
• Work within the Project Team to Project Manage an in-house and outsourced Building Condition asset surveys to enable a cohesive long term maintenance register is regularly reviewed and updated.
• Assist with the updating of the London Estates unified works programme in the form of a Long Term Development/Long Term Maintenance Schedule.
• Ensure capital projects are aligned with the delivery of other works and projects.
Who we're looking for
The successful Project Manager will be willing to travel on a daily basis to the single site in London, they must be self motivated with the ambition to build a career and adaptable to every task at hand. Ideally you will be from a construction background and will have had exposure to AUTO CAD and fully understand the systems.
