As a Tax Efficient Supply Chain Consultant, you will be based in the London office, but will face nationwide travel. Hence the location of these consultants is flexible.
The Customs & International Trade Services team are a specialist function within this Consultancy, operating on a global basis. The group focuses on assisting clients in the following areas:
• Understanding and complying with complex export control regulations put in place to support National Security policy and prevent the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
• Understanding and complying with all aspects of customs duty legislation whilst meeting commercial needs.
• Minimisation of costs associated with the movement of International Trade.
• Working with other groups withintheConsultancyto implement process improvements in the International Trade supply chain.
Your responsibilities will be to:
• Build and maintain consulting relationships with clients.
• Proactively manage existing clients, maximising profitability.
• Have involvement in winning new clients.
• Successfully contribute to the management and delivery of global projects, including budget control, people, quality and risk management, and client satisfaction.
• Provide coaching for the team.
• Contribute to developing new client solutions, maintaining up to date technical knowledge and commercial understanding.
• Interpret and effectively communicate legislation to clients and team.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of compliance programmes based on best practices.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of corrective action plans arising from reviews, assessments and audits.
• Monitor compliance trends and environments
• Interpret and analyse existing, new and proposed country legislation/regulations for benefits and/or impacts to our clients.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidates for the Tax Efficient Supply Chain Consultantpositions will generally have the following:
• Technical excellence: in-depth international trade and export control knowledge, including practised understanding of EU and US regulations
• A good degree from a top University
• Commercial understanding, relevant industry experience
• Project management (planning, organising, coordinating), in terms of systems, processes, and people
• Good experience of cross-group/business collaboration
• Communications skills, particularly, influencing, selling, and relationship building
• Demonstrate organisational agility (dealing with Senior Management)
• Experience in managing change
