Due to rapid business expansion and in order to capitalise on the growth potential that exists, there is now a need to strengthen the management team within the group's business. Heading up Valueworks Category Management Ltd and reporting to the Group CEO, a Managing Director is now required to develop, lead and optimise the business during what is a critical growth phase.
Responsibilities:
- This entrepreneurial general management role will cover all business functions with full profit responsibility for an individual business.
- Strategy formulation, business development, planning and service delivery are integral to the role.
- Developing the outsourced category management product / service, building the service delivery team and developing revenue streams.
Who we're looking for
The right candidate will:
- Be an excellent general manager with demonstrable leadership qualities, able to influence at all levels in an organisation and comfortable with managing a highly qualified team.
- Have expertise in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management having led a high performing purchasing team.
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of how technology can be applied to improve efficiencies/controls and preferably have worked on the implementation of an IT system/project previously.
- Be of Degree calibre ideally within a business, supply chain or IT related subject. MBA is a benefit but not essential.
