The role will support capital and infrastructure projects for numerous operations around the UK. The major emphasis will be to integrate into the project teams maintaining a life cycle responsible as a commercial lead.The scope of projects currently covers circa £120m per annum consistently working with main contractors to niche engineering consultancies. The main issue initially will be to sell the value of procurement to all stakeholdersand agree astrategy with the purchasing manager to be delivered by this role.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidates will have proven track record within an infrastructure, projects, or utilities organisation.You will be able to demonstrate lead negotiation ability and clear understanding of what a cradle to grave procurement process should deliver. You will be CIPS qualified (or working towards) with first class interpersonal skills with a demonstrable ability of selling the value of procurement.
