Practice Lead - Engineering, Water and Power Consultancy

This role is an ideal opportunity to move from a high level consulting position to lead and grow the practice within this exciting and dynamic group, not only Strategically, and Product Service Area's but also developing the Human Capital within the business.

Key Goals
Ensure products/ services are defined from a thorough understanding of future markets / clients' needs and we have the capabilities to deliver these.
Identify opportunities for product development, new products/ services and quality improvements.
Work with the Technical Directors and other Product/ Service Area Leads to identify opportunities for cross product development.
Ensure the required processes and systems are implemented for product/ service development and improvement, to provide quality deliverables that meet clients' business needs.
Co-ordinate activities and team in the product/ service area to make best use of our resources and capabilities through strategic assignment of resources.
Assist with resource planning and development.

Key Responsibilities

Product/ Service Growth and Development
Develop and define the vision and strategy for product/ service growth and development
Promote product/ service area concepts and value propositions within Business Solutions and across the company, and assist in identification of synergy between product areas
Establishing strong, productive internal collaboration relationships with leaders and key staff of our Global business
Co-ordinate development of products and services, aligning systems and objectives, and strategic direction
Promote knowledge and appropriate use of Knowledge Communities/ Bases
Provide assistance to client service managers as required

Who we're looking for
- Undergraduate calibre Management Consulting professional, either currently working within or having previously worked for a consulting house or group within the area of Utilities/Water and familiar with the associated frameworks and regulations.
-Measureable experience of combined consulting and utilities related industry experience (Water sector preferred) including but not limited to Water industry planning, regulatory and business requirements, funding and management mechanisms within the water industry, investment process for CAPEX and OPEX, efficiencies and KPI's within the water industry.
- Significant experience in developing and managing large teams of highly motivated, qualified and demanding professional services employees
- Strong background in strategy development and business process optimisation techniques
