Lean Facilitator

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills to embed a Lean culture within the Dorset business, which is involved with precision engineering and manufacturing.

Responsibilities will include:
• To define Lean techniques in line with Corporate guidelines and agree the implementation plan with the Senior Management Team. The strategy is to include; 5S, Value Stream Mapping, accelerated Improvement Workshops or similar team workshops, 6 Sigma, implementation of specific tools/events to improve site KPI's, training on Lean for all employees.
• Leading activities to deliver targeted improvement across the business.
• Working with all site managers, instigate a culture of Lean manufacturing throughout the facility.
• Mentoring/facilitating/running events in all areas of the business to implement strategy.
• Supporting all areas of the business to remove waste from their everyday task.

Who we're looking for
• You must have a background within a precision engineering or fabrication environmentand have detailed knowledge of associated processes such as coded welding and batch manufacturing.
• The successful candidate must have abroad knowledge of Lean tools.
• Proven experience in managing a team of Lean experts is essential to this role.
• The successful candidate will have good presentation skills as they will be responsible for facilitating Continuous Improvement events.
• Degree qualified within a technical discipline, the successful candidate will also need to have strong interpersonal and motivational skills.
