Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for 3 major distribution centre operations across London and the South East. With a team of depot managers covering the day to day operation, this role focuses on managing the London region, with a focus on people development, sales growth and developing the strategic plan for the London business. The main responsibilities of this role are :
• Delivering distribution and warehousing operations within agreed annual budgets and KPIs
• Develop the industrial relations strategy within the region to ensure a consistent and collaborative way of working.
• Develop and deliver a commercial plan for the region to ensure sales growth
• Continuously developing and implementing the strategic plans for the region to drive improvements in cost effectiveness, productivity and service.
Who we're looking for
You will be an accomplished senior manager, with a track record in delivery. You will have experience forming a collaborative relationship with the union, as well as delivering results and profitability. You will also be focused on ensuring cost efficiency and service standards are maintained, whilst fostering a positive and empowered workforce.
You will be a strong leader with the ability to manage a diverse workforce though strong communication and real drive for excellence.
Ideally you will have a background in managing a multi-site distribution operation, with complete responsibility for profit & loss, covering both warehousing and transport operations.
