Merchandiser

As a Merchandiser you will demonstrate a sound commercial understanding of the fashion business with the ability to recommend and assist in the implementation of new strategies along with range construction for the shape of the chain

-Have theability to interpret and analyse data in order to maximise sales and profit through efficient stock management, movement and forecasting

- Work closely with the Area Managers in connection with optimising stock

- Devise and implement new budgeting/forecasting systems whilst ensuring that current planned sales are achieved

- Liaise with the Buying team in connection to buying terms, price and delivery and to gain information about key trends, shapes, colour, look etc.

- Constantly monitor and review our stores and websites performance in order to potentialise profit

Who we're looking for
Our client is looking for someone who will be self motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative whilst working closely with the buying team

- Confidence to liaise with suppliers, senior company management and our retail stores

- A keen communicator, you can build effective supplier relationships in the course of updating them on production plans and current trading performance

- At least 1-2 years experience in a fashion background

- Commercial awareness

- Proficient computer skills

- Strong communication and networking skills at all levels

- A methodical/logical approach to work and the ability to prioritise when given deadlines

- A flexible approach and ability to take initiative to respond quickly to change
