Compliance Analyst

The Compliance Analyst role based in Reading will include the following duties:
Global Control Standards (GCS)
• Support the implementation and ongoing requirements of the Global Control Standards including preparation for Corporate Audits & Remediation Plans
• Coordinate deep dive on sales cycle in preparation for 2009 corporate audit by identifying potential opportunities,developing & aligning action plans with both Sales & Finance, and monitoring progress
• Provide adhoc support as required to the RM & A Managers to ensure the relevant deadlines are received

SOX
• Drive improvements in SOx sustainability to maintain PI SOx best practice in PIUK.
• Liaise as required with SOx Process/Control Owners to discuss and resolve control failures (or potential failures) and work up effective & timely remediation plans.
• Co-ordinate/manage and complete (where necessary) SOx testing (Key & Cyclical Controls) across allocated processes.
• Manage the Certus reporting tool for completion of the Quarterly SOx testing results to NY, including ensuring documentation is up to date.
• Lead the evolution & development of SOx training for Process Owners, Control Owners & other key personnel including course documentation, materials & delivery of the training.

Who we're looking for
• P/Q Accountant (minimum of AAT qualified) with strong Controls background.
• Strong accounting/control skills to understand the relevant controls over Financial Reporting.
• Experience of operating in a SOx environment preferred but not essential.
• Good understanding of business process and IT applications.
• Good organisational skills to flex tasks to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Good communication skills to influence Process & Control Owners.
