Business Development Manager

As part of the UK Sales Team you will be reporting in to the UK Sales Director. There are currently 8 Business Development Managers in the UK with plans to have12 in place and operational by the end of 2008. You will be responsible for the contact strategy of clients and will have a range of sales support material, as well as access to client-facing Account Managers and Tech Pre-Sales staff for demonstration purposes.

The key objective of the role will be to generate your revenue target in contract value. This will be achieved by:

• Developing and managing an efficient sales prospecting system.
• Using the corporate systems (Salesforce.com) to manage client relationships
• Reporting Sales Opportunities in Salesforce.com in accordance with company procedure and being fully prepared in the weekly Sales Meeting
• Achieving monthly sales activity targets that will cover the quantity and direction of prospecting
• Creating effective sales and marketing programmes
• Selling 12, 24, and 36 month ASP technology contracts in accordance with company objectives.

Who we're looking for
You will be a dynamic and ambitious business development manager, and you are not afraid of a challenge. You have demonstrated your ability to acquire new accounts and reach your sales quota. You want to work for a fast growing company (+50% growth per year in the last 4 years).
A successful Business Development Manager will have the following personal qualities:
· A team member with a positive attitude, high motivation level and a passion for winning new business ;
· A Hunter mentality, desire to cold call extensively and strong ability to close deals ;
· A proven history of meeting or exceeding your sales target;
· Software sales experience;
· Excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiating skills, as you will be dealing with decision makers ;
· Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
· SaaS experience a plus, but not necessary.
You will show a high degree of independence and initiative in "getting things done", with a desire to exercise a degree of independent in moving projects forward.
