Senior Brand Manager

To help develop and implement a programme of brand communications activity which is scheduled to run in three phases.
Initially this work will encompass broadcast (including television) marketing of the brand, as well as segment specific activity to five core customer groups, and the administration of this activity.
In due course the role may only encompass the creative development and media management for activity as additional colleagues are recruited to cover the segment specific and administrative areas.
The objective of the work is to achieve the required levels of awareness and consideration defined by the business's brand strategy within Wesleyan's five core target markets.

Areas of Responsibility

• Translate strategy into an overall plan of brand activity designed to meet the agreed objectives and targets.
• To work with the Marketing Controller and other colleagues who are also directly responsible for the delivery of the brand marketing strategy, as well as directors within the business as required.
• To communicate and work closely with other teams in Marketing, and elsewhere within the business, to ensure that the delivery of the brand activity is maximised, and that it ties in with other lead generational and sales campaigns so that commercial opportunities are maximised to the overall benefit of the business.
• To manage external marketing agencies in the development and delivery of the brand marketing plan.
• Areas of broadcast marketing are likely to include: TV, national press, outdoor, digital, sponsorship.
• Areas of segment specific marketing are likely to include: specialist media, digital, events, sponsorship, ambient media / promotional marketing.
• To ensure that all Campaigns comply with FSA rules on Financial Promotions and to adhere to the departmental procedures compliance including but not limited to the routine updating of the department's compliance database.
• To coordinate the setting of budgets, manage spend against these budgets and coordinate the detailed

Who we're looking for
• Experience of brand marketing activities, in particular television, press, outdoor, online and sponsorship
• Experience of managing marketing agencies
• Educated to degree level or similar
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent one to one communication skills
• An organised and flexible approach to work
• Excellent reporting and analytical skills
• The ability to conduct presentations to groups of colleagues
• Willingness to work in a team based environment
Desirable
• Experience of working in or for the Financial Services industry
• CIM qualification or similar
• Experience of marketing to the specialist markets of GPs, hospital doctors, dentists, teachers or lawyers
