Transport Programme Manager

The main objective of the role is to put in place a fleet replacement programme to support the organisations operation as a commercial haulier. The successful candidate shall:
• Deliver effective trailer tracking by:
- Defining requirements for trailer tracking system/process.
- Agree a business case for trailer tracking system/process.
- Select IT solution for trailer tracking.
• Deliver effective dynamic route scheduling by:
- Defining requirements for route scheduling systems/process
- Agree business case for route scheduling system/process
- Implement dynamic route scheduling.
• Deliver commercial revenue from haulage by:
- Setting up sales function
- Setting up invoicing capability
- Starting up a sales plan.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have managed large fleets, have a strong background in transport operations. You will also have a strong commercial acumen, and have the ability to implement fleet replacement programmes to support wide scale operations. You will be able to identify and implement route scheduling systems/processes and trailer tracking systems/processes. You will also be able to improve fleet utilisation to reduce operating costs.
