Job Role
Your main goal will be to achieve the strategic and operational purchasing targets and to be responsible for purchasing required parts.
This will include:
Collection and preparation of data for fact-based negotiations;
Assistance in preparing for and conducting supplier negotiations;
Implementation of framework agreements;
Ensuring full implementation of the sourcing strategy;
Guarantee of successful delivery of identified cost savings and value creation opportunities;
Continual analysis and understanding of the market monitoring competitive factors;
Generation of new project ideas and cost saving initiatives;
Tracking and reporting commodity performance metrics;
Operative management of the suppliers through: finalization of supplier evaluation criteria, review of suppliers responses to Request for Proposal (RFP), development of quotation packages and administration of Request for proposals (RFP), quotations (RFQ ) and information (RFI), assessment of supplier capabilities and development of initial recommendation for "short list" of suppliers for quotations;
Analysis of suppliers comprising of key financial measures, business objectives, past supplier performance, qualitative measurement and setup of a supplier ranking matrix;
Development of fact-based briefs for supplier meetings;
Recognizing and communicating potential supplier's development opportunities;
Further financial analysis as needed, such as cost impacts of new strategies, return on investment for new projects, etc.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor's degree in business, a quantitative field or equivalent;
Previous experience in a responsible buying role;
Knowledge of the heavy machinery or automotive industry and Parts business in particular preferred;
Basic knowledge of local legal positions for internal contracts;
Experience with ERP and Supply Chain Systems;
Proficiency in MS Office products;
Strong analytical skills;
Excellent communication skills;
Fluency in English and additional European language(s) of advantage.
