Job Role
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the right part, in the right quantity, at the right place, at the right time is delivered to the customer. This should be achieved by setting-up the system to support the most accurate forecast possible and ensure that customer service levels are achieved while minimizing inventory.
Major accountabilities include:
Understanding the business distribution requirements and metrics to ensure the system set-up meets these measurements;
Being aware of the impact of inventory and planning scenarios on service levels, financial/budget results and operational effectiveness;
Developing extensive knowledge of the Parts/After Market business;
Maintaining in-depth understanding of demand drivers and focus on their impacts to future demand;
Providing analyses for unplanned results and identifying variable parameters;
Conducting and analyzing weekly, monthly and quarterly plans and adjust according to parameters and policies;
Analyzing inventory holdings and assisting in the implementation of inventory and or distribution strategies;
Close collaboration with Planning, Regional Warehouse, and Regional Marketing requirements;
Providing input toward continuous improvement and operational excellence;
Creating a culture of innovative and proactive thinking;
Promoting collaboration among peers to support and develop functional expertise.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, a quantitative field, or equivalent;
Deep strategic knowledge in forecasting and inventory planning practices;
Strong understanding of material planning, forecasting, and supply chain concepts;
Extensive knowledge of system functionality;
Experience with Servigistics and ERP supply chain systems (SAP preferred);
Proficiency in MS Office products and Business Reporting;
Experience with progressive advancement in supply chain organization;
A proven track record of progressive success in forecasting or planning;
Strong analytical and communication skills;
Innovative forward thinking and strong initiative to proactively drive continuous improvement;
A customer focus to meet both internal and external customer needs;
The ability to constructively challenge the status quo, identify opportunities for operational improvement and establish the need for change;
Fluency in English and other European language(s) as advantage.
