Responsibilities :
- Display a high level of commercial acumen, and an awareness of the key drivers of corporate failure/underperformance
- Contribute to planning, including defining the scope of work, budgeting and staffing
- Identify key issues on assignments and voice ideas/solutions in respect of workable solutions
- Progress a caseload to conclusion and assist in the production of the assignment if necessary.
- Understand the capabilities of the firm, looking for capabilities to sell additional services to our clients
- Sharing technical and other knowledge with team, drawing on previous experience<BR>- Coach junior team members to ensure their development, work is performed to the required standard, take responsibility for leading, project managing and communicating across the team
- Take responsibility for performing detailed financial and commercial analysis, identifying key issues and potential areas of sensitivity
- Play a central role in the preparation of deliverables including proposals and reports, assisting in the preparation of presentations and discussions with the client
- Demonstrate the confidence and professionalism required when dealing with assignment partners, management in corporates and banks, and other financial institution contacts
- Actively seek to contribute to business development opportunities through industry targeting exercises, research, using own market intelligence and building own work provider contacts
Who we're looking for
We are looking for exceptional people with Corporate Restructuring experience, with a strong focus on advisory work either on behalf of creditors or distressed corporates.
You will also:
- Have an ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- Good appreciation of risk management
- High level of commercial acumen and a deep understanding of corporate failure and awareness of the potential solutions available
- Desire to develop technical knowledge of Insolvency legislation and implementation through Joint Insolvency Examinations (JIEB)
- Adapt well to change and have a flexible and positive approach, leading by example
- Demonstrate quality and consistency of performance in every task performed
- Be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to build effective relationships at all levels
- Drive your own development, seek feedback on your performance, identify development needs, take action to achieve these
- Develop internal and external networks through personal contacts and be proactive in looking for marketing opportunities
- Ensure work is produced to tight deadlines, often under pressure, without impact on quality of deliverable or clarity of presentation
- Many of our staff have moved from other disciplines and have investigatory experience in areas such Audit, Transaction Support / Due Diligence or Forensic Accounting
