As a Product Manager for this Online & Mail-order Stationery businessbased in Yorkshire you will have responsibility for your own product areas, you will implement corporate merchandising strategies to meet sales and profit objectives, produce forecasts and make recommendations to improve contribution, monitor competitors' performance, and introduce innovative ideas to keep the business ahead of the market. This will include new product / supplier selection and de-selection, acquisition costs, setting selling prices, achieving margin, delivery and returns policies and all packaging requirements.

Who we're looking for
As Product Manager with responsibility for your own product areas, you will implement corporate merchandising strategies to meet sales and profit objectives, produce forecasts and make recommendations to improve contribution, monitor competitors' performance, and introduce innovative ideas to keep the business ahead of the market. This will include new product / supplier selection and de-selection, acquisition costs, setting selling prices, achieving margin, delivery and returns policies and all packaging requirements.
• Successful candidates will be of graduate calibre with a background in product management.
• The responsibilities of a Product Manager requires a high level of independent decision making, so problem solving / analytical skills and an ability to think laterally are a pre-requisite as is attention to detail and an ability to influence suppliers.
• A knowledge of the office product/furniture market and supplier community is preferred.
• Further, if you have worked for a mail order business it would be beneficial.
