As Head of Maintenance you will be responsible for ensuring the continued growth, success and effective management of high quality repairs and maintenance services within the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Technical Services you will overseethe day-to-day management and control of the maintenance service and its related functions ensuring that all aspects such as responsive and planned maintenance, empty homes, improvement works, out of hours, cyclical work and estate maintenance are delivered to high standards.
You will play a key role inmonitoring performance and service levels and develop plans and strategies to address areas of concern and improve services.
You will assist in the development of new procedures and devise and implement new policies and be capable of solving complex problems through appropriate solutions whilst ensuring policies are adopted consistently.
Who we're looking for
The ideal Head of Maintenance will possess:
•An in depth knowledge of social housing and understanding of public sector issues.
• A proven track record within a similar role.
•Motivational leadership skills that inspire staff to work effectively both individually and as a team in adeveloping environment.
•A thorough knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience of providing a customer based service.
• A well developed understanding of the dynamics of business and financial management within a complex organisation.
