The Marketing Manager will develop and deliver the marketing function with our client, focussed on an area of the business worth in excess of £6 million.

The primary purpose of this position is to develop and market a range of marketing solutions suitable for its target industry audience.
The Marketing Manager will develop concepts, build strategic propositions and develop and deliver marketing campaigns for both new and existing products and services. They will develop these propositions and plans using their structured and empirical understanding of the customer, marketplace and competition, gained through working with the Customer Research and Analysis Manager and the Sales Team, as well as harnessing the collective knowledge that resides in the business.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

 Develop strategic propositions and business cases for new products and services within the market, based on an understanding of customer needs, market opportunity, competitive position and in line with overall strategy.

 Liaise with the Research & Development Team to develop and implement approved products and services, and advise on how best these could be taken to market.

 Plan and develop marketing strategies (with objectives, targets and measures) for the range of products and services and implement such plans. Provide technical content and guidance on key selling points.

Who we're looking for
Skills
 Degree level education with additional marketing related qualification desirable
 Highly developed strategic and operational marketing skills
Knowledge
 Good understanding of how to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns
 Good commercial awareness and understanding
 Understanding of and enthusiasm for a CRM culture
 Solid understanding of marketing, communications and PR
 Understanding of market research methods and how they can be used to help determine new products and markets and refine existing products and services
 Good understanding of web based businesses and E-Commerce, web advertising and e-marketing
Experience<BR> Experience in a marketing role, with some experience in a broad range of marketing competencies; including market research, market intelligence, strategic product development, partnership development, product marketing and marketing communications
 Experience of managing complex projects with diverse stakeholders including senior management.
 Experience of developing business proposals or propositions and experience of writing requirements (the what) and specifications (the how) for new products or services.
 Demonstrable experience in marketing 'media' pr
