Strategy Manager

This major Insurance company based in South East London require a Strategy Manager for their Corporate Strategy team
This is a varied role where you play a key role in supporting the business in defining and executing the strategic priorities of this major Insurance company. You will be working across all business units as well as upwards with Senior managers and Executives on a range of issues designed to further develop the business both in the UK and internationally.

Who we're looking for
You will be working as an internal consultant supporting the business with their strategic objectives:
• Support the strategic management process in developingthe long-term strategy
• Support and challenge the business to define and execute strategic priorities
• Develop, evaluate, and manage value-generating business initiatives that supportstrategic agenda
• Engage in senior stakeholder management to challenge and get buy-in from the business on key strategic initiatives
• Within the project context evaluate the market and competitor environment to identify external issues which could impact on the strategic priorities
• Identify and assess acquisition targets, JV partners, disposals and investment opportunities
• Ensure strategic projects meet stakeholder expectations and agreed timescales

Knowledge required:
• Degree level of education or equivalent
• previously worked in strategy / management consulting or business experience with an all around commercial orientation
• Previous experience in Financial Services is desirable
• Evidence of ability to work with senior stakeholders
• Experience of working at a strategic level, including business planning and financial skills, as well as research and analysis expertise
