The business Performance Accountant will work closely with Finance and (Corporate and Individual) Business Unit senior managers. The objective of the role is to provide a meaningful analysis & interpretive reporting together with challenge, support and influence in order to drive business performance and contribute to the delivery of our key financial targets.
A core element of the role relates to expense management and understanding the business environment (market, competitors), processes and cost drivers/behaviours. The role broadens into all aspects of finance and business management (costs, efficiency, customer service, sales, profitability) using a wide range of metrics.

•proven ability to link financials with business processes and non-financial metrics
•relevant experience of management accounting/costing/business support
•ability to analyse and interpret financial and no-financial data
•proven ability to work alone and as part of a team
•proven involvement in strategic projects
•able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
•strong numeric and interpretative skills
•excellent communication skills both oral and written
•educated to degree level or equivalent
•qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW or equivalent
