Business Development Manager

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities for Revolymer.
You will be generating market-driven leads, managing a portfolio of opportunities, developing and implementing the business cases and closing major license or product deals with key accounts. Your target markets range from confectionery, consumer health, household goods, personal care and material coatings.
As the sales lead time can vary from 6 months to 2-3 years to market, the emphasis is upon spotting the short-term commercial opportunities while acting strategically for the long-term and key account management.
Working based from home, UK wide and international travel will be a fundamental part of the role. You will predominantly travelling within Europe however you will have no geographical limitations as to where you can develop fresh opportunities.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate would have:

• a science/chemistry degree
• an international network of contacts in the target markets: confectionery, consumer health, personal care, household goods or coatings
• understand the market dynamics and market needs in the target markets
• experience of building business and selling licenses or products.
You will be a team player with impeccable communication skills as you will be liaising with technical, commercial, operational people in the customers' as well in the Revolymer organisation.
You have a passion for sustainable value creation for customers - as all Revolymer employees do.

Revolymer was established in 2006 and at the heart of the business is polymer technology innovation. A mid-size company with £15 million of investment behind it, Revolymer takes commercially available, inexpensive polymers and links them chemically to create completely novel polymers for existing consumer products.
The polymers are used in a variety of existing consumer products - from removable or medicated chewing gum to nail varnish, sun screens, liquid detergents and novel coatings.
Its development laboratories are based in North Wales - its business has no geographical boundaries!
