Overall purpose of role:
The role is responsible for driving acquisition and activation of new small & micro business customers. This is done primarily by delivering and converting traffic to our B2B sites.

Core responsibilities:

1. Market Planning
• Define the marketing strategy for small & micro businesses acquisition
• Develop and execute quarterly marketing plans

2. Drive qualified traffic to the site
• Optimise existing and new search marketing campaigns
• Manage bids, key word groups and landing page content
• Manage relationship with Google and Yahoo
• Build brand awareness and consideration with through targeted display advertising in relevant sites
• Review opportunities in blogosphere and relevant business start up media
• Identify appropriate segments from sister sites to upsell to
• Investigate other B2B paid for performance channels to market

3. Convert traffic to new customers
• Ensure site content & design is optimised to convert traffic to customers
• Utilise web tracking tools to measure flows and propose amendments
• Build activation programme through focused targeting of relevant concise messaging on emails & banners
• Look at innovative ways to deliver our messages that drive conversion

Who we're looking for
1. Experience required:
• Proven experience of creating compelling small business sector campaigns with robust ROI.
• Extensive online marketing experience (not via agencies), with direct working knowledge of search (PPC), display and email marketing
• Strong project management skills with experience with work prioritisation, planning, influencing and working in cross-functional teams
• Payment industry experience or similar background (financial services, software, services, telecoms)

2. Technical skills:
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Significant experience of search analytics such as Google Analytics, WebTrends, Hitbox and ClickTracks
• Knowledge of online marketing systems such as Mediaplex, Omniture, Unica / Affinium
• Knowledge of HTML & Photoshop a plus

3. Qualifications:
• Excellent academic background
• Undergraduate degree with Minimum 2:1
• CIM/IDM qualification a plus
