The Institute of Advanced Motorists ("the IAM") is committed to helping IAM Members and Associates get more from their driving and riding - and more from their relationship with the IAM.
The key challenges of the Membership Development Manager will be to add impetus to the enhancement of existing members benefits, improve and sustain retention, and grow new membership streams.

Who we're looking for
The Membership Development Manager will:
• Ideally have a proven track record of sales and account management within a large membership organisation
• be aware of the best methods for alerting both individual members to the benefits of joining IAM and have prior success in making effective business partnerships
You will be responsible for:
• Development and introduction of internal policies and processes to support membership communication and engagement.
• Implementation and maintenance of processes to collect, disseminate and leverage intelligence generated from inbound and outbound member communication.
• Involvement in writing effective communications to members and potential members in liaison with and through consultation with Marketing Department.
• Development of segmented membership communications and engagement strategy to support and maximise retention.
• Implementation and ongoing management of policies and processes supporting IAM member retention strategy, direct member contact and engagement processes and membership analyses, segmentation and management reporting.
• Control and ongoing development of 'dashboard' style presentation of KPIs and PIs covering membership recruitment and retention for Members and Associates
• Development of Membership relationship with IAM's Group movement to promote and implement action resulting in increased membership and retention.

About our client
The Institute of Advanced Motorists is a registered charity and growing organisation looking todevelop new activities. It is independent , not owned by any other organisation, commercial or public sector. The IAM is the UK's largest dedicated road safety organisation. It operates the Advanced Driving Test, and gives driving and other road safety advice to its members and the general public, as well as liaising with government on policy. The financial support comes mainly from the annual membership fees of more than 110,000 members throughout the UK and beyond, together with the charges they make for administering the Advanced Driving Tests and driver training.
