This roles involves managing and developing a large Maintenance team in a large space, high turnover retail operation. This includes managing external contractors, ensuring that planned and preventative maintenance is carried out to ensure that the unit is fit for purpose and adheres to health and safety law. In addition this role requires that you create a safe working environment for staff, customers and contractors.
Key tasks include:
• communicating annual maintenance action plan to your the team
• ensuring the team is working in a cost efficient manner
• being responsible for maintenance budgets
• manage external maintenance contractors
• negotiate with suppliers and contractors

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate could come from a varied background, however it would help if you came from a retail of maintenance environment. Key success factors include:
• focusing on customer needs
• working with other managers to find solutions to store based maintenance issues
• communicating with the store team to ensure health and safety guidelines are followed
• leading the team by example
