Corporate Communications executive

External communications:

• Media relations - Supporting the Corporate Communications Manager in the firm's ongoing media relations work. This will include preparing and distributing press releases, generating and editing articles and enhancing the firm's relationships with target journalists.

• Core and contact literature - Supporting the Corporate Communications Manager and the e-marketing team in the origination, production, delivery and ongoing management of communications material for clients, targets and other contacts. This includes online and off-line material.

• Website - Providing high-quality content for the firm's website and publishing it to the site using the firm's content management system.
Internal communications:

• In-house magazine - Responsible for researching and writing excellent copy and organising photography as directed by the magazine editor.

• Wallpaper - Managing and co-ordinating the on-screen wallpaper slot. This includes taking a brief from internal clients, liaising with designers, presenting concepts and delivering finished designs to meet that brief.

• Chatroom - Managing the monthly chatroom (x10 per year) including promotion of the event, co-ordinating with IT, facilitating during the chatroom and providing follow-up reports.

• Notice boards - Responsibility for the notice board timetable and implementation.

• Internal Communications Network - Providing support to ensure we maximise the potential of this firmwide group.

Who we're looking for
Qualifications and experience - essential requirements:

• Educated to degree level
• Outstanding media-writing skills, preferably from a business background, with faultless grammar and spelling
• Project management skills
• Self-motivated team player used to working under pressure from multiple clients and delivering excellent client service
• An understanding of the strategic value of communications
• Strong interest in current affairs and the daily news agenda
• Professional firm experience desirable but not essential
