As a Senior Finance Manager, you will provide a complete assurance service to the organisation.
Externally this will feature advanced knowledge of the requirements applicable to the sector and the organisation specifically in the accounting, legal and compliance areas.
Internally this will feature the creation and monitoring of appropriate accounting policies to satisfy the external demands, and the maintenance and application of appropriate financial regulations to ensure compliance and delivery. You will be expected to:
• Continuously assess levels of financial risk as part of risk management
• Develop a quality service ethos within the team to ensure effectiveness in delivery
• Maintain your personal professional competence e.g. through CPD programmes
• Represent the Financial Controller/Department where nominated: always work to enhance reputation of the Finance Department and your colleagues
• As a manager within Finance the post holder is expected to seek and adopt best practice, maintain a high level of accuracy in all outputs and provide a flexible approach in delivering to deadlines
• The job will include the necessity to work additional hours to complete certain deadlines, from time to time
Who we're looking for
You will be qualified (ACA, ACCA, IIA) with a strong audit background and excellent communication skills.
