Hospira UK is an integral part of Hospira's global operations and is the Head office for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Due to the company's rapid expansion plan and following the successful implementation of SAP financials and logistics, a new role has been created to support the UK & Ireland Finance Manager. As UK & Ireland Finance Accountant you will be responsible for the financial reporting requirements of the UK & Ireland business. All transactional processing is now on SAP with group reporting under US GAAP on Hyperion Financial Management.

Key responsibilities within this role will include;

• Monthly production and distribution of management accounts and cost centre reports.
• Reconciliation of ledger balances between Hyperion and SAP, covering P+L and Balance Sheet.
• Year end/Quarterly additional reporting and checks.
• Performing variance analysis on management accounts, provide explanations and complete monthly report.
• Preparing the weekly Cash flow forecasts.
• Assisting the UK & Ireland Finance Manager with the month end review of management accounts P+L and Balance Sheet and identifying any adjustments required prior to submission of accounts.
• Working with the UK & Ireland Finance Manager to ensure R&D expenditure is correctly identified and posted.
• Liaising with Management to discuss the Management Accounts.
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, review and ensure all entries correct.
• Working closely with the Management team to prepare and upload annual budgets and monthly forecasts, including P+L expenditure and ad-hoc budget schedules.
• Co-ordinating capital expenditure requests and reporting for the EMEA region.
• Assisting UK & Ireland Finance Manager with general ledger review and and analysis work.
