Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
Ensuring all assigned financial reporting for the company's business operations are completed accurately, on time and in appropriate form.
Preparing all management and financial reports including profit and loss, balance sheet, reconciliations, variance and trend analysis.
Investigating and explaining all variances identifying potential problems or opportunities and recommending suitable actions
Through regular reviews ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on in accordance with the agreed schedule and ensures that suitable documentation is available to substantiate the entries therein. Where errors or omissions are discovered, take corrective action in a timely manner
Modifying reporting formats and/or schedules in accordance with changing requirements of the company
Where required directing the work of others within the team making sure journal entries are posted accurately and on time for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
Owning and ensuring compliance with key SOX controls and process flows relevant to own role and company supported
Resolving queries from internal and external auditors as these are identified during their reviews or the accounts, procedures and controls
Participating in special projects and detailed analyses of company operations to assist functional leaders and finance leaders in the review of operating expenses and efficiencies
Assisting the corporate tax department in providing any information which may be required in the calculation of tax liabilities, ensuring these are recorded correctly
Who we're looking for
The successful applicant will be part qualified or qualified and have a thorough knowledge and experience of financial accounting, including UK and US GAAP and strong financial systems skills. You will have experience of Microsoft Office, especially Excel where Macro level ability would be preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for the role as is the ability to work as part of a team.
