As Import Manager you will have a team of 2 Import Assistants, and working closely with the buying and Merchandising functions, you will coordinate the import of goods from point of order through to DC. Including the preparation of Import documentation, calculating and monitoring landed costs. Being a keypoint of contact for the Import team you will also be responsible for identifying and initiating new opportunities for cost efficiency.
Who we're looking for
Ideally from an Import background you will have:
• A sound understanding of Import procedures from both the Far East and Europe
• Ability to calculate and input landed cost values
• Sound administration experience
• Good PC skills including MSWord and Excel. (A knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but not essential)
• Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• A Proven ability to manage and motivate small teams
