As an Audit Manager you will be responsible for managing the full audit process through planning, fieldwork and completion. Your client portfolio will be mainly based through the Shropshire region and have turnovers ranging from £1/2m through to £500m.
Working within the audit team in Shrewsbury, you will also be responsible for developing and training junior members of the team and becoming a mentor for a group of trainees, semi seniors and seniors.
Who we're looking for
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and be experienced within audit, ideally from working within practice. A strong technical understanding and practical experience of audit is essential due to the size of clients and the large team environment that you will be working in, and often leading.
This role does command a high level of clients interaction and therefore excellent communication skills are a must. You will have the ability to gain respect from the audit team from your professionalism and technical knowledge, along with bringing enthusiasm and inspiration to drive the business forward.
