This role has got to be one of the most exciting in the market place at present. As an integral member of the finance team, Leeds Bradford International Airport are looking for a Commercial Business Analyst to be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the business strategy. This is a very visible role across the business at all levels. With a new management team, a significant investment programme and growth agenda there couldn't be a more exciting time to join this organisation!!
The role involves: -
• Supporting the commercial development and decision making of the business
• Develop financial models that provide accurate timely forecasts, scenario and sensitivity analysis
• Working on the development and implementation of IT and Finance strategy
• Compiling market data including socio economic and population data for the catchment alongside analysing aviation data and associated market intelligence
• Reviewing tactical pricing strategies to drive revenue
• Undertake regular benchmarking across the industry to ensure the continual implementation of best practice and to drive continuous improvements in commercial revenues
• Understanding financial impact of promotional activity
• Supporting investment appraisal - prioritising capital expenditure and optimising return
• Understanding the impact on the financial debt model
• Creation of models to understand the run rate of the business
• Preparation of reports for all stakeholders
Who we're looking for
Based in Yeadon at Leeds Bradford International Airport the successful candidate for this Commercial Business Analyst role will be a qualified accountant, have exposure to database manipulation, excellent excel skills and experience in financial modelling. The other required skills are a strong commercial awareness with a can do attitude and a good handle on building internal relationships with people at all levels. The successful candidate will preferably come from a retail background.
